This layer is a subset of the full Natural Resources Canada North American Atlas – Basin Watersheds - Watershed NAW4 layer and was created to focus on the watershed within the Hudson Bay drainage area. It was created as part of theWeather Keeper Program Project - a collaboration between the Manitoba Métis Federation and the Centre for EarthObservation Science.

- Purpose
The Weather Keeper Program is a collaboration between the Manitoba Métis Federation and the Centre for EarthObservation Science at the University of Manitoba, to support the collection of atmospheric data in the Manitoba GreatLakes region. This program is a co-developed, and jointly managed, monitoring network that will provide information on howthe Manitoba Great Lakes respond to land-use changes and variability in weather. This program also gives insight into thelocal and regional effects of climate change.
